Company History

Lynch Bus Lines was founded in 1984 by Tom and Georgette Lynch. At that time, they operated six school busses and serviced a small area in Burnaby. Over the years they grew, but refused to compromise quality service for large growth.

We are now operating approximately 100 buses, servicing the Lower Mainland and Princeton. Not only do we provide school runs and extra curricular field trips but we also service many industries outside of schools. We provide transportation for Scouts and Guides, organized sports team travel, day care, and commercial business contracts. Whether you have a single outing or a multi-bus, multi-day event, we are able to help.

 

At Lynch Bus Lines we offer a wide range of services. Some are listed below.

1. AM/PM runs. These can be provided for schools, daycares, or employees.
2. Group charters. Whether it is for your school, business, sports team or special event we are able to meet your needs.
3. Mechanical shop. We service and maintain not only our equipment but the equipment of others as well.

Tom & Georgette Lynch - Founded a modest school bus company in 1984 in the municipality of Burnaby. If you were wandering about these parts then you would have seen buses marked “GT Lynch Developments”.  Countless hours of hard work and dedication in the form of direct involvement in the day to day operations as well as planning the vision of the future were the obvious recipe for SUCCESS! Through endless hours of service to School Districts, Private Schools and Worker Transport along with special events ranging from EXPO 86 to BC Summer Games, customer service has always and will always be priority one in every aspect of Lynch Bus Lines.

Cory Lynch - Serves as the operations manager and directly oversees five office staff as well as numerous related administrative duties at headquarters (Burnaby). His tenure with Lynch Bus Lines is likely one of the longest in the business world, given he started at the age of 8! Starting at the grassroots of the company, Cory brings a vast & immeasurable knowledge of history and hindsight. This is something that is reflected upon each and every member of the office staff.

George Lynch - Also proudly serves as part of the Lynch Bus Lines team. George is directly responsible for North Shore and Langley operations, this is a daunting task that he has faced for numerous years with nothing but success.  He too started early at the age of 10! Learning and developing from his father and mother the skills he looks back on today as invaluable character building. He also heads the Driver Training Program at Lynch Bus Lines and manages to maintain the highest level of professionalism in each and every driver on staff.

Wanda Sall - Our office manager and the most senior of our office staff, having had experience in every facet of the office (dispatch, accounts, scheduling, etc.) here at headquarters and working special events on site around the Lower Mainland, she is an unshakeable pillar at headquarters in Burnaby.  Having started at Lynch Bus Lines in 1988, she too is a well known face at the Burnaby headquarters, having served our customers time and time again.  Wanda’s years of devotion and dedication are a tribute to the “positive teamwork” atmosphere throughout our office.

Darlene Mikitka - Is our dispatcher. Darlene started in 2001. She brings a wealth of knowlage from being involved in the school bus or transportation industry for more than 20 years. She takes a great deal of pride in arranging trips and drivers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Jaime Lynch - Started in 2003 and is our part-time receptionist. She is here to help you with all your customer service needs.

Fernando Amaral - Serves in office personnel as well. Having started in 1990, he too has had a long rewarding experience in all areas of the day to day office functions at headquarters in Burnaby. He also is directly responsible for the Fleet Appearance Department, which is a group of dedicated youth that work tirelessly keeping our school bus fleet clean.  Once again our dedication to the customer takes on many forms and a gleaming, professional bus is just one more way in which we strive for our goal of Customer Service first. Again, Fernando’s years speaks volumes toward the level of reliability and professionalism at Lynch Bus Lines.

We have a fully licensed shop staff to repair all our equipment on site. We also offer mechanical services for all types of heavy duty repairs.

Morley Kirkham manages our five bay maintenance facility located at headquarters in Burnaby. Many exciting changes have occurred in our maintenance division. Currently, our team of dedicated mechanics maintains our 100+ pieces of equipment. We do all our own mechanical repairs, some warranty work on behalf of national and international entities. We are a certified inspection facility in the province of British Columbia and hold one of the best National Safety Code records with great honor.
